Last week we introduced the InBody 570 and briefly mentioned a few of the health factors that it measures. Today we’re going to talk about BMR, or basal metabolic rate.
You can think of BMR as your daily calorie burn rate. It is the amount of calories that you would burn if you laid down and did nothing but breathing.
So why is your BMR important to you? It can help you figure out how many calories you need to eat! We have found that if people don’t eat enough calories, then they will lose muscle and store fat. On the other hand, if they eat too much then they will store those excess calories as fat. But by eating a few hundred calories above the BMR, we have found many clients are successful in gaining muscle and losing fat.
You will learn a lot more about BMR in our next seminar!
Please leave a comment or shoot us an email if you have any questions about BMR. Next week we’ll talk about visceral fat and why you want to keep it low! To schedule your InBody test talk to your Fitness Coach or call Rock Solid Fitness at 727-282-1800!
